This document walks you through the functionalities of the VERA app, Spherity's Digital Product Passport (DPP) manager, to enable you to navigate the user interface. It does neither explain any technical details of the service nor provide guidelines for the technical implementation of VERA.
If you are looking for a high-level overview of VERA, visit our website. You may also want to peruse some Essential Concepts about our digital product passports.
An important step for getting properly set up with VERA is to onboard your organization. You must be invited to VERA before you can access it. The web app resides on vera-studio.spherity.com.
Once you have received an email invite, accept it by following the link in the email and subsequent on-screen guidance.
The dashboard provides an overview of your product passports and other useful information.

All the Organization’s DPPs are listed here. You can filter the list by using the search bar or the filter options. Clicking on a DPP in the overview will open Product Passport Details of this DPP.
Upon clicking on the Create button, a series of dialogues will be available to guide you through the steps of creating a new DPP. Read on at Creating a Product Passport .

You can inspect and edit various page details here. Note that the product passport’s unique identifier (DID) cannot be altered.
Clicking on the View DPP button in the top-right corner opens the public DPP webpage.

DPP data are stored in the form of digital Credentials, which are issued by the Organization itself during the creation of the DPP.

To inspect associated Credentials, click on View all, select the credential of interest, and drill into the data by clicking on the 3 dots on the right-hand side to open the View page.

To assign security groups, click on View all, then add, edit, or remove a security group. You can filter the list by using the search bar.

Note that security groups must first be created before they can be assigned here. Refer to Security Groups.
Ideally, at least one security group should be added to a DPP at the time of its creation. See Creating a Product Passport .

Use this workflow to create a custom DPP from scratch. However, if you are looking to create a DPP based on a set pf pre-defined Master Data, go to the respective Master Data Details instead.
Follow the in-app steps to create a brand-new DPP. You will be able to assign its name, description, branding, data sets (credentials), and security groups.

If you do not assign a security group at this stage, you will need to contact us to assign security groups to the established DPP later if needed. Once there is at least one security group associated with a DPP, you can manage them without our assistance.

Here you manage the Organization’s product Master Data. This is basically your collection of templates that define the product passport fields for each DDP of the same category.
You can filter the list by using the search bar or the filter options. Clicking on a set of Master Data in the overview will open Master Data Details of this template.
Upon clicking on the Create button, a series of dialogues will open to guide you through the steps of creating a new set of Master Data. Read on at Creating Master Data.
